I’ve been very cold. Sitting still. type type. Ice covers the waterways and when he learns my last name he said, how appropriate. Eliza has been drawing me out towards the moon, with cards and writing prompts so I thought I’d share the same.
Full Moon in Virgo Feb 27th
Beginning of Pisces Season with a full Moon in Virgo. A special combination of energies- the polar opposites, the otherworldly Piscean easy urge to fill the void with meaning, with marks, with art. All that drama lit by the Virgo moon, a sign exquisitely tethered to reality through the tasks and responsibilities they assign and define themselves by. Pisces is the last sign of the Zodiac year before the re-birth of the World under Aries fire at the end of March, the coming of spring. I fear this spring will be everything that we hope for and I also have just that, fear, for what the bright sun will feel like on naked skin, leaving our caves, our remote little worlds we grew in this past year. The world is starting again.
Journal/Conversation prompts for the full moon in Virgo...
- What are my grounding rituals? What habits do I need to release myself from?
- When do I find myself stumped in "analysis paralysis" and where can I release myself from perfectionism?
- When am I most dedicated? How am I in service to Others?
Mantras for the end of Winter.
- I serve the highest good through Love
- My daily practice supports my well-being
- I see past deceptive contortions into a beautiful reality
While Virgo may be hung-up on the details and Pisces nostalgic and emotional for a past which does not exist, this time of year is a needed respite, to catch our footing, to gather our wits about us and rest as needed before the next season, the next plague, the next true love, the next heartbreak is upon us :)
Life just be like that, dogged and insistent on the cycles that allow for mercy and rest as they allow for ecstatic joy and terror. I’m excited to see who I become as I de-thaw.
